Layouts Overview

Master Layouts are pre-built layouts for the Web Builder. These layouts are designed to accommodate multiple configurations with only two layouts. See below for possible configurations.

Regions for Users in Master Layouts are: 900, 440l, 440r, 280l, 280m, 280r.
Regions for Admins in Master Layouts are: Menu, Footer.
Note: l=left m=middle r=right

The key to the modular design in these layouts depends on if the user puts content the regions or not. Each region is able to grow, having the ability to put in multiple pieces of content into 1 region.

Example: User puts content in 440l and 440r only. The layout is now a simple 2 column with all their products in it. This can now be used as their shopping cart.

All content for the WG should use the Master Layout size blocks. If a custom layout is made for a special project, make sure to name the regions in similar fashion as the Master Layouts.

Example: March Madness User Page has regions named, 600l, 600m, 600r.

Each layout will have a ‘Menu’ Region, that region is used only for the Render Service Tool called Menu. The ‘Menu’ is built by the user using the Menu system in the WG.
